Brief
The ECM Congress is an international conference focused on extracellular matrix pharmacology. The first congress was held in Copenhagen, Denmark from 23 to 25 June 2022. The annual event brings together experts in the fields of liver, lung, kidney, skin, cardiovascular, cancer (tumour fibrosis), and immunology.
The ECM Congress required a website that was based on their visual identity and that was accessible on all platforms and easy to maintain. The website should provide attendees with information on the conference program, speakers, and location. It also provided easy access for attendees to register for the event and access relevant resources.
The website should be user-friendly and accessible, making it easy for attendees to access information. It should also be easy to maintain, allowing the ECM Congress organizers to quickly update information and make any necessary changes.
Solutions
I created a simple and modern design system for the ECM Congress website that was based on the conference’s visual identity. The UI design focused on easy navigation and clear information hierarchy. The homepage featured a prominent call-to-action for attendees to register for the event, as well as a concise overview of the conference program and featured speakers. The top navigation bar provided quick access to key pages such as the location, speakers, and resources.
For the project I also developed a custom WordPress theme for the website, ensuring that it was easy to maintain and update. The theme included a user-friendly backend interface, allowing the ECM Congress organizers to easily add and edit content.
The ECM Congress website was successfully launched on time and received positive feedback from the client. The simple design system and user-friendly UI made it easy for attendees to access the information they needed, while the custom WordPress theme allowed the organizers to easily manage and update the website.
